Outspoken rocker and animal rights activist Pink, who has long shunned fur and often opts for alternatives to leather, has also joined the campaign to expose the horrendous hidden cruelty of the wool industry. Pink took time out of her busy schedule to narrate a video exposing the cruelty behind Australia's massive merino sheep trade.

Pink Reveals the Cruelty of Australia's Wool Industry

In the video, Pink shows viewers the suffering that sheep endure in the Australian wool industry. Millions of lambs are mutilated each year by having chunks of skin cut from their backsides, often without any pain relief, in a practice known as "mulesing"—even though humane options are readily available for wool producers to use.

Pink also describes the treatment of sheep who no longer produce enough wool and are transported thousands of miles on extremely crowded ships through extreme temperatures—all to have their throats slit while they are still conscious in filthy, open-air markets.

Join Pink in her bid to help end the painful mulesing mutilations and the cruel live export of lambs and sheep. Please write to the Australian government right away and urge it to ban mulesing and live export permanently:
