Animals killed for fur are gassed, poisoned, strangled, bludgeoned, or anally electrocuted and are sometimes skinned alive. More and more consumers are making the switch to fur after learning about the cruelty and suffering inherent in the fur industry. Just last year, the West Hollywood (U.S.A.) City Council voted unanimously to ban fur sales.
